What is the application process for Membership?
After submitting your application, an Editor of the Admissions Committee will contact you to define when will the interview take place.
For the Associate position the admission process consists of an interview (vis-à-vis or virtual vis-à-vis), where our Human Resources and Welfare Editors will evaluate you on the basis of your Academic background, proficiency in English and a general knowledge of our Journal (e.g. organization, editorial policies, quality and ethic publication code). Furthermore it will determine the compatibility with the mission of the Review: your soft-skills and your aptitude for team-working in the Editorial Team will be seriously taking into account.
For the Visiting Editor position, the admission process consists on a single virtual vis-à-vis interview with our Human Resources and Welfare Editors: they will evaluate you on the basis of your Academic background, proficiency in English and a general knowledge of our Journal (e.g. organization, aims, editorial policies, quality and publication ethics code).
After the interview you will be given formal notice of the outcome. If you have been admitted, you will join the Review for a trial period of 30 days; your Supervisor Managing Editor during the trial month will evaluate your work and conduct to confirm your membership in the Editorial Team. You will be officially a member at the end of the 30 days after confirmation of the Managing Editor. If the outcome of the application is negative after the interview, together with your evaluation, you will receive a letter of rejection explaining the decision of the Admissions Committee. If your application process was negative, you can apply only once for the same position after six months from the notification of rejection.

Why would I want to be a member of the law review?
The Law Review is a tremendous opportunity to take part in the Academic tradition that is important both to the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna and to the legal community at large. Editors are given a sustained opportunity to really develop their own editing skills by working on articles written by professors, judges, and practitioners. On a personal level the Review work helps developing core legal skills, building academic relationships, and exposing its members to the latest legal ideas.
The Review provides the unique opportunity to work with brilliant minds, counting members from all over the world.
In addition, being member of the Review has a significant résumé value. Membership demonstrates attention to detail, teamwork skills and work ethic. Résumé value, however, is only a small part of the experience that membership provides.
